What are some nice outdoor decorations for our Engagement Party
Ok, we are having our Engagement Party at our place in 3 weeks. We've got a
lovely outdoor area, complete with patio, limestone wall's, green grass and
gardens. But, I've never decorated it. l want this party to stand out
from the rest, we always have BBQ is and get-togethers, l want this one to
looks classier!
So far, all l can think about is balloons.
/> I am not having any particular colour, as l have not picked a wedding colour yet. PLEASE HELP! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! />Idea is are GREAT so far, thank you!!!! - We are doing a buffet, I've hired tables and white table clothes. - It starts at 6.30pm the weather is beautiful, dry and warm. Get is dark around 8.00pm. - I've also hired a 6m x 3m marquee to go on our grass just for extra room for our guests to mingle. - Balloons - I've chosen pearl shaded ones, pink, purple, yellow, blue and grren. I would have lots of flowers, balloons, and decorate it with
lights (after dark). You could line the deck rail with rope lighting, use
tiki torches, and candles. Put clear christmas lights in the trees and
bushes. Have nice music playing.
If it is an evening party, it will be easy to do a lot with lighting.
if its at dinner like around sunset, buy those paper lanterns
and hang them around the patio. go online and pick out a design to fold
the napkins. if serving dessert use little bowls and write the couples
name in chocolate. to do that melt chocolate and use wax paper spiraled up
(like used for frosting) and in cursive spell there names. be sure there
connected some how. Put on top of ice cream. party!!!
what time of day is ur party?
if its a brunch or lunchy thing, have long formal tables to eat at with
classic linens & real dishes & glasses ( not paper plates of course) - if
you don;t have a bunch you can get em cheap at ikea. then you can build
nice center pieces that echo the style of ur garden ( candles, flowers,
potted orchids, bowls of fruits). Have a wreath on ur front door that reflects the theme of ur backyard . at night - use white christmas lights & white candles in jars of assorted sizes congrats on ur upcoming wedding for ideas check out martha stewarts wedding website & the knot
fairy lights always comes to the rescue also candles make it
more intimate. you can hire cocktail machine now these days so there is
another idea depending on what the season it is for you, you could
decorate in colours of the season.
i'm getting married in november and still haven't worked out my wedding
colours yet i'm not having an engagement party as it is hard enough trying
to organise a wedding. good luck and best wishes
